IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION FOR AT5
All people who took up the priority pre-registration offer at AT4 will be sent details of how to register & pay for their tickets. We have already done a lottery style draw for the seating order from the people who applied at AT4. The remaining places will be allocated according to the registration time stamps. Please remember that if you want to sit together in the Main hall you MUST register together.
Registration for AT4 attendee Priority pre-registrationpeople will be
Friday 16th April & Saturday 17th April 2010.
If you were an attendee at AT4 but did not take up our offer of Priority Pre-registration and did not give us your details at AT4 or shortly thereafter, you must wait until general sales commence. Sorry, you cannot change your mind and try to give us your details now.
As soon as we have sent this information out we will release the remaining tickets for sale and General Registration will open on :-
Sunday 18th April 2010 - 15:00Hrs GMT (16:00 BST)
Completing on-line registration will be time-stamp based and the tickets will be sold on a strictly first come, first served basis. No more than four tickets per application. At least 20% of the tickets for AT5 are going to be available for general registration and all attendees will have the option to request cocktail party tickets.
Completing on-line registration does not guarantee that you have been allocated a ticket, only that your request for a ticket has been sent to us.
Charmed Pass Upgrades
Charmed Pass upgrades are not available until all tickets are sold when we will be holding a lottery for the 90 upgrade tickets for the cocktail party on the Friday night. You will not know when you have to pay for your weekend tickets if you have been allocated Cocktail party tickets so please be prepared to have to pay separately for them.
The lottery will operate as follows: -
Each group booking (a maximum of up to four people) or single booking will be entered as one ticket in the lottery, meaning if the ticket is pulled the whole group will be allocated tickets. Once all the allocated tickets are taken up, we will continue drawing names to make a waiting list of people wanting cocktail party tickets. If the last group is too big for the remaining tickets we will hold off allocating. Inevitably a few people drop out or in the early stages may not pay for their allocation so we will not ask a group to choose who should go, and will wait to inform you when we have sufficient tickets available. By doing it this way, we will not penalise a larger group by passing them over.
If you are lucky enough to be allocated the chance to buy an upgrade you will be expected to pay for this immediately.
Please note that we will be having a strict time limit on all payments. Should you fail to send your payment to us within the allocated time of two weeks from date of email, your ticket will be released to the next person. There will be no part-payment schemes or deferred payments allowed.

AT5 - FAQ
How do you allocate the Weekend Tickets?
Please see above information.
I heard that attendees at AT4 were allowed priority pre-registration for AT5. Does that mean there are no tickets available for general purchase?
In keeping with many Event companies we decided that loyal fans would be allowed to pre-register for AT5 at our last Event. Some of these fans had been coming to our Events for five years. Not all attendees pre-registered and not all who did will take up tickets for AT5 as circumstances may have changed in their lives. When we have administered the take up of tickets from the pre-registered attendees we will put the remainder of tickets on general sale within days. This will be at least 20% of the total number of tickets available.
Can I use a credit card to pay for my ticket?
No. We will no longer be taking credit card payments for tickets. Payment will be by direct bank transfer (outside the UK) or UK cheques only (inside the UK). Any costs associated with the cheques or transfers must be borne by the ticket holder. We do not accept Pay pal.
How will seating in the main Hall be allocated?
We will be drawing pre registered attendee names first, for seating, once everyone has registered. If you wish to sit with another pre registered attendee, please inform us. Your names will then be drawn as one block, therefore allowing you to sit together. For those who buy tickets when registration opens for general ticket sales we will be allocating seats as these tickets are purchased.
I want to sit with my friends, can we request that?
If you are purchasing tickets when general ticket sales open and wish to sit with friends in the main hall you MUST book together as a group.
When will I be able to book my accommodation?
Due to the current air travel chaos due to high level volcanic ash we are witholding the booking code, temporarily, so that we do not unnecessarily burden the hotel with bookings that are not urgent. As soon as the air space returns to normal we will send out the code.
Once your tickets have been paid for and confirmed you will be sent a booking code for accessing hotel bedrooms at the specially negotiated rate, to include Breakfast. Please use the code you are given and do not post it on forums. Anyone who has a ticket will be given the code.
Rates are £80 single, £90 Double or twin. (All include VAT @17.5%, Bed and Breakfast per room per night)
If I get a ticket and then cannot attend can I get a refund?
All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. To prevent scalping, the tickets are only for the person in whose name they were originally applied for and each person will be required to provide ID at Registration to collect their tickets. If you are not able to attend the event after you have paid for your tickets, please contact registration to discuss your issues and we will try and help you sell your ticket to the next person on the waiting list should a waiting list exist at the time.
Event Etiquette
Attendees are NOT permitted to approach or go onto the stage at any time. Please don't ask Amanda for hugs etc, it robs everyone else of time for their questions and is unfair.
Mobile phones must be switched off in the main hall and auto/photo session rooms.
No Audio or Video recording is allowed during the event. If you are found to be recording by our eagle eyed stewards you will be asked to stop. Further abuse of this rule may result in expulsion from the Event.
We expect attendees to adhere to these simple rules but reserve the right to impose sanctions which, in an extreme case, may include expulsion from the event. No refund would be made in this instance.
Any attendee who makes a nuisance of him/herself during one of our Events or breaks any of our simple rules will not be allowed to purchase tickets for another Event.
We reserve the right to refuse to sell a ticket to any person who we feel would disrupt the Event or cause discomfort to a guest or member of staff in any way.

Disabled Access Policy
GABIT Events Ltd is committed to ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided for all disabled users. GABIT entirely supports the fair treatment of attendees, guests and staff with disabilities and is also committed to promoting the interests of those people with special needs. Please help us by letting us know on your registration form if you have any special needs.
I want to be a Steward
We pride ourselves on having probably the best Stewarding team that there is and treating them like family. We receive dozens of offers of help for every convention that we do. However, unlike other Convention organisers we approach people that we know from our years on the Convention circuit rather than call for volunteers. For the most part our team comes year after year to our Events, but there are odd times when gaps need filling because someone couldn’t come. If you have a burning desire to help out at the Event then you are welcome to drop our Stewards Coordinator, Tracy North, a line at stewards@gabitevents.co.uk. She will note your details and put them on file should we need help.
I want to donate something to help with fundraising at AT5
We welcome donations of fan memorabilia, signed items etc to our fundraising efforts. It is the generosity of the fans which help to make the auctions so successful in raising money for such worthwhile causes. Please contact Sue George at fundraiser@gabitevents.co.uk to check if the item is suitable for fundraising at AT5.
Gabit Events warrants that 100% of monies raised at the auction and through fund raising activities at AT5 will be taken directly by representatives from Hearing Dogs on that weekend or paid via the internet directly to the “Sanctuary for kids” website or forwarded to “Sanctuary for kids” immediately after the Event. No administration costs are ever taken by GABIT Events in connection with any of our fundraising activities.
Where can I get more information about AT5?
Please in the first instance check the Event FAQ above. If you don’t find what you are looking for, please e-mail asktheG4@gabitevents.co.uk and someone will respond to you within 24 hours. Please do not use PM systems on forums or DM systems on Twitter, or e-mail individual directors, staff members or the team at Legends with general questions as this makes it very difficult for you to get the correct information quickly. The above e-mail is monitored by more than one person so you will get the right response from the right person.
Who are GABIT & the G4?
The G4 are the directors of GABIT Events Limited. ie Julia Hague, Becky Preen, Kay Jacobs and John Goode. In September 2002 they formed their own company, GABIT Events Ltd, with the intention of bringing Amanda Tapping to London for her own event with her own fans.
What experience do they have in running conventions?
The G4 are an experienced conference and convention organising team, with over 50 years of combined experience. They specialise in Events for Amanda Tapping and her fans and in raising money for causes close to Amanda’s heart. Their first Event with Amanda, "Amanda Tapping a weekend with her fans", in October 2005 was a huge success, raising nearly £6000 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. “AT2 – the Return”, in November 2006, Amanda's second event with GABIT, raised over £24,000 for the same charity. “AT3 – Reunion”, in May 2008, the third event with Amanda, raised over £21,000 for both Hearing Dogs and Waterkeeper Alliance. “AT4 – Reflections”, a sold out Event, in November 2009 raised over £16,000 for Sanctuary for kids and £8,000 for Hearing Dogs with Legends Memorabilia pledging the extra £2000 to enable the money to be made up so that another two dogs can be installed in the Gabit Kennel.
In addition, GABIT were asked to run “Avalon” in 2006, Carmargue Event's weekend for fans of Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping, which took place a week after “AT2”.
This summer 2010, GABIT will be joining forces with Legends Memorabilia in Vancouver, Canada to bring Richard Dean Anderson fans together with his own fans at his first one man event, Meet the Man, and will be holding the world’s first official Sanctuary Convention, the Sanctuary Experience.
